From April 28 to May 1, amputee swimmers and swimmers with other disabilities from around the world were in Berlin for the 2011International German Swimming Open for athletes with a disability.
The competition was organized for the 25th time and more than 400 athletes from 28 nations took part in the event.
This year's IDM Schwimmen offered yet an other chance for swimmers with a disability to test the pool at Berlin's Landberger Allee, where a couple of days from now the IPC European Swimming Championships will be held.

Vom 28. April bis zum 1. Mai 2011 hat in Berlin die 25. Internationale Deutsche Meisterschaft im Schwimmen der Behinderten stattgefunden.
An der Veranstaltung, die auch in diesem Jahr im Pool der Schwimmhalle an der Landsberger Allee ausgetragen wurde, haben mehr als 400 Schwimmerinnen und Schwimmer
aus 28 Ländern teilgenommen.
Für viele unter ihnen war es nocheinmal eine Gelgenheit den Berliner Pool zu testen, wo in wenigen Tagen auch die IPC Europa-Meisterschaft im Schwimmen der Behinderten stattfinden wird.
