Paralympic World Cup 2005 Manchester 3

Over 350 Paralympic athletes from 49 countries took part in the 2005 Paralympic World Cup, held from May 12 to 15 in Manchester, United Kingdom.

They competed in 4 sports categories: Athletics, Swimming, Track Cycling and Wheelchair Basketball.

South African amputee swimmer Natalie Du Toit was the star of the swimming competition, breaking four world records and winning three gold medals.

This time she also claimed victory in the S9 100m backstroke – the gold medal she missed during the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens.
