World Championships for disabled swimmers 2015 Glasgow Photos 2

Last summer amputee swimmers and swimmers with other disabilities from around the world took part in the 2015 Swimming World Championships, organized by the International Paralympic Committee. For one week more than 500 swimmers were in Glasgow to compete against each other. The competition was the biggest disability swimming event in the UK since the successful Paralympic Games 2012 in London. Among the participants of the competition were Brazilian Paralympic champion Daniel Dias, British swimmer Eleanor Simmonds, Ukrainian Dmytro Vynohradets, Marc Evers of the Netherlands, US amputee swimmer Jessica Long and many others Paralympic medalists.
